A Beautiful Rural Wedding Venue
Enjoy an unforgettable wedding day here at the Flying Fish, in our beautiful barn – a traditional family-run venue situated amid stunning South Somerset Countryside, yet just 5 minutes from the A303 and 10 minutes from the M5. Our barn is full of character and charm but don’t be fooled by its rustic exterior… it is packed to the beams with all mod-cons including its own bar, restrooms, PA system, disco lighting, raised stage with fairy light backdrop, Love Ladder, bunting and fairy light canopy, candelabras, beautiful chiavari chairs and rustic farm-style tables. Our wedding barn also has its own gorgeous private garden with a gazebo, flower arch uplit tree, festoon lighting and plenty of seating. Our Wedding Co-ordinator, Julie, will be on hand from your initial enquiry to the big day itself, to help you plan and execute your perfect Wedding day. It’s Your Day, Your Way!
The Flying Fish Barn is fully licensed for marriage ceremonies and makes the most amazing rural wedding venue. We specialise in relaxed, informal weddings and work closely with you to help you create the wedding you want, be it a traditional country affair with straw bales and a tractor or a Caribbean theme with a steel band and delicious home-made Rum Punch… the barn is a blank canvas for you to make your own.
We offer a variety of food options including sumptuous hot, cold and mixed buffets, hog roasts and Caribbean food.
Stuck for ideas? We can recommend people to assist you with themes and decoration, flowers, DJs, bands, bouncy castles, casinos, magic mirrors, photo booths and more!
We also offer 8 very spacious en-suite rooms in our accommodation known as The Flying Fish Stables, next to the barn, for your close friends and family and can recommend additional accommodation in the local area for your other guests.
